Swallowing Stones by Joyce McDonald is a thrilling book that keeps you on the edge of your seat. All throughout the book there’s mystery’s and shocker’s one after another making it an exciting adventure.
It all began with Michael having a good time at his seventeenth birthday party. Little does Michael know that one of the presents he receives will change his life forever. After this unexpected event he faces troubles with local law enforcements and his best friend. Due to this he has to make one of the biggest decisions of his life.
This book is and enjoyable read because it is suspenseful and makes you feel like you’re always in the book. Also, it lets you in on the feelings and thoughts of two people whose lives were changed by one bullet.
Joe Sadowski is by far my favorite character. He might not be the best person, but he is a great friend. Not one time throughout the book does he ever think about leaving Michael’s side.
